Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America
Biography
For 800 years, the Roman Catholic Church has entrusted the guardianship of the Christian shrines in the Holy Land to the Order of St. Francis. This work by the Franciscan friars has grown to include schools and missions in the Holy Land, and care for the children, families, refugees and others in need throughout the region. The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America, located in Washington, DC, sustains this 800-year mission of the Franciscan Friars in the Holy Land through education, vocations, pilgrimages and pastoral ministry for local and visiting Catholics and all people of good will. The Monastery is home to a thriving Franciscan community, self sustaining and capable of fulfilling its mission on behalf of the Holy Land, its Friars and the Church Universal.

The Foundation’s vision is guided by a passionate dedication to the healing mission of the Congregation. Its hope-filled vision for the future of the Foundation is that it will generate the resources needed to support ministries that promote and perpetuate the compassionate healing of people and the earth. Franciscan Spiritual Ministries is a ministry sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia and rooted in Gospel values and in the prophetic spirit of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. The staff seeks to provide environments, experiences and resources which enable persons to meet God in both stillness and activity. With hospitality, simplicity, and joy, all are welcome as brother and sister. The programs are holistic, ecumenical, collaborative in nature, and supportive of nonviolence. Clare House, a component of the Spiritual Center, is dedicated to providing contemplative space for persons of any faith who desire to deepen their relationship with God. Five Hermitages are available in a wooded area on the grounds of Clare House.

Freedom House is a non-denominational non-profit organization established in 1983.Our mission is to address the needs of homeless and/or indigent refugees seeking asylum in either the U.S. or Canada.
Guided by our belief that all persons deserve to live free from oppression and deserve to be treated with justice, compassion and dignity, our goals are:
1. To offer a continuum of care and services to persons living in our shelter, as well as to offer refugees in need.
2. To advocate for systemic change which more fully recognizes the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.

Our mission is to collaborate with partner organizations to prevent mothers and their children from being trafficked and sexually exploited and to provide comprehensive medical and social services to mothers and children who have been trafficked and exploited.To protect and provide services to trafficked and exploited mothers and their children we:
1.-Conduct research on the factors that result in the trafficking and exploitation of mothers and their children as well as the health impact on them so that evidence-based prevention and service programs can be implemented;
2- Collaborate with partner organizations to provide comprehensive health and social services to trafficked and exploited mothers and their children with the goal of assisting them to find permanent safety, health, and well-being; and
3- Advocate for policies and programs for these mothers and their children.

Gregorian University Foundation

The Gregorian University Foundation was established in the United States in 1972 to raise the urgently needed funds for scholarships, academic chairs and professorships, libraries and capital improvements for the Gregorian University Consortium which includes the Pontifical Gregorian University, Pontifical Biblical Institute, and Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome, Italy. The Gregorian University Consortium educates many of the most promising future leaders for the Church? alumni include over 900 bishops, about 1/3 of all current Cardinals, and 7 of the last 11 Popes. Pope Benedict XVI has confirmed the Gregorian University in its perennial role as a priority among priorities for the Society of Jesus.
Grey Nuns of the Sacret Heart

The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart are an apostolic congregation of 85 women religious who strive to create a compassionate world through prayer, ministry and advocacy. As daughters of Marguerite d’Youville, Mother of Universal Charity, we continue her mission: To be signs of God’s unconditional love for every person. Our overriding concern is that the Gospel be proclaimed to all we meet and serve, especially the poor and needy of our world. We have a preferential love for the materially poor and demonstrate it in our daily life, presence and works by living more simply, working with the poor, sharing our love and abilities and by educating ourselves and others to the responsibility in justice to satisfy the needs of the poor and by acting upon unjust societal conditions.
