Grey Nuns of the Sacret Heart
Biography
The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart are an apostolic congregation of 85 women religious who strive to create a compassionate world through prayer, ministry and advocacy. As daughters of Marguerite d’Youville, Mother of Universal Charity, we continue her mission: To be signs of God’s unconditional love for every person. Our overriding concern is that the Gospel be proclaimed to all we meet and serve, especially the poor and needy of our world. We have a preferential love for the materially poor and demonstrate it in our daily life, presence and works by living more simply, working with the poor, sharing our love and abilities and by educating ourselves and others to the responsibility in justice to satisfy the needs of the poor and by acting upon unjust societal conditions.
