Serving the Donor
NCCF has a religious ethic. Donors’ funds benefit charitable activities reflecting the Gospel.
National Catholic Community Foundation serves individuals and organizations wishing to engage in philanthropic activities that support the ministries of the Catholic Church but who do not have the ability to organize a traditional private foundation.
Four facts about NCCF:
- NCCF is national, which means that your funds can benefit charitable causes of your choosing regardless of geography or diocese.
- Contributions to NCCF funds are tax-exempt even if distributions from the funds are made internationally through organizations affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.
- Donors’ funds at NCCF benefit charitable activities reflecting the Gospel, whether these activities serve the ministries of the Catholic Church, specifically, or the larger community, generally, provided the latter are not in conflict with the teaching of the Church.
- NCCF is muti-generational. Donor-advised funds can be perpetual and enable the philanthropic involvement of the family to pass from one generation to the next.
The co-founders of NCCF are aware that that the Holy Spirit is present among generous men and women and that many wish to contribute to the betterment of the world in ways not considered ‘traditionally Catholic’. NCCF, therefore, believes that this philanthropic desire need not be limited to activities conducted under the aegis of the Roman Catholic Church. While the Board of Trustees will honor and respect the intentions of the donor, we will not support activities inconsistent the Gospel as affirmed by Catholic Church as set forth in the Second Vatican Council.
