Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) (Washington, DC) Mission Statement: The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) addresses the root causes of poverty in the United States in order to help poor and low-income Americans help themselves out of poverty. Since 1970, the Catholic Campaign has supported more than 4,000 low-income led community-based projects that strengthen families, create jobs, build affordable housing, fight crime, and improve schools and neighborhoods. CCHD supports projects that develop community leadership and participation so that their solutions to poverty will be long-lasting and effective. CCHD also educates Catholics about the causes of poverty and Catholic social teaching, and works to build solidarity between the poor and non-poor.

Biography

Mission: CCMA provides valuable leadership for campus ministers. We equip and teach campus ministers how to expand their influence. Finally, we establish best practices for sustainable campus ministry. CCMA connects campus ministers with one another. With membership located in all 50 states, CCMA provides the professional network for campus ministers to stay linked to one another. Campus Ministry needs advocacy. That’s where CCMA comes in, valuing campus ministers, speaking for them and engaging them in relevant findings that impact their work.

Biography

We are a Catholic faith community serving the students of Southern Methodist University, the faculty and staff, and our extended community members. We are a welcoming haven for those who seek us, an accessible comfort for those who need us, and a proactive connection with those who do not yet know us. We provide an environment for fellowship; sacramental ministry; intellectual stimulation; moral and ethical discovery; community service; spiritual enrichment; and leadership development. We strive to develop lifelong active Catholics who are challenged to investigate and remain involved in their faith.

Biography

The mission of Catholic Charismatic Renewal is to catch the Fire, Joy and Hope in the praise of the Lord.  The goal is to experience the presence and power of God amidst joyful and heartfelt praise and worship!

Started in 1994 through the office of Bishop Sheridan of Colorado Springs.  Deacon Chuck Matzer was appointed liaison to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Ministry.  This ministry is open to all in the community. The Charismatic Renewal Ministry has become the center of Catholic evangelization and Cathechesis.in Colorado Springs.

There have been many converts and two additional ministries in the outgrowth of this powerful Catholic experience. — Magnificat Women’s Ministry and UNBOUND prayer and healing Ministry.
