In September of 2010, this column informed readers of a documentary that the Salt & Light Television Network in Toronto was preparing about Bethlehem University which, you will recall, is the only Catholic University in the Holy Land.
The following press release has just arrived from Salt & Light Television Network informing us that this documentary, entitled “Across the Divide,” will premiere on June 3rd in Vancouver, BC.
I have seen this sobering and inspiring film and recommend it to all who wish to be better informed about the complex situation in our Lord’s place of birth and its surrounding regions. The film offers a hope-starved world a fresh and much needed perspective on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The documentary will be available to everyone through the online store and there will be six major screenings in Canada and in the United States given in cooperation with Bethlehem University and other Church partners. It is a privilege to bring this film to your attention.
