St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
Biography
To enjoy and share the gifts of Catholic Communion and Anglican Patrimony. We are a non-territorial parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Current programs are those of a mission parish and its sacramental life. In addition, we host the Holy Family Formation and Education Center, which provides Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (four levels) to many children beyond our parish. We also run a small Thrift Shop which serves the neighborhood. Following Pope Benedict’s charge, we aim to share our particular gifts to the good of the whole Church and become a regional center not just for our liturgy but for thick Catholic culture, community, and intellectual life.
Unique support opportunities apart from ordinary parish operations center on the development of a choral music program, expansion of the Thrift Shop to greater social ministry, and our regional CGS programs and training.
