Biography
In addition to the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, the Little Sisters of the Poor take a vow of hospitality. We live in this mission of hospitality by serving our elderly poor in every aspect of their lives. The height of our vocation is to nurture spirituality and assist the dying. The LIttle Sisters of the Poor instill a respect for human dignity and the inviolability of the human life. In addition, we provide nutritious food, comfortable housing, clothing, nursing care, and meaningful activity. We serve the elderly poor in our Homes, welcoming them as family, responding with love to their needs and hopes.
