Patricia A. Phillips, SHCJ
Since 2007 Patricia Phillips, SHCJ, is Executive Director of Wordnet Productions, a Catholic Television Ministry of Fr. Mike Manning, SVD. She is actively involved in every aspect of this ministry and was responsible for the Vocation Project to produce a DVD entitled Jesus Calls Women. This has developed into further projects along the same lines, including Called to Love and Parenting Vocation.
Currently she is a member of various groups: the Board of Trustees of Rosemont College, Finance Committee for Hope Partnership for Education, the Investment Committee for the SHCJ American Province, Committee on Consecrated Life of the Diocese of San Bernardino, SHCJ Society Wide Planning Steering Committee., as well as the Investment Committee for National Catholic Community Foundation.
From 1998 until 2007, Patricia Phillips, SHCJ, served as the Society Treasurer with responsibility for the oversight of the finances of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.
She was a consultant for NATRI (National Association of Treasurers of Religious Institutes), Chair of Wordnet Productions, Inc. and a member of the SHCJ Province Planning Committee.
From 1983 until 1998, Patricia was the Province Treasurer for the American Province responsible for the finances of the Society in the USA, Dominican Republic, and Chile. For the first six years, from 1983 – 1989, she also served on the Provincial Council as a member of the governance board.
Before serving in province administration, Patricia was the principal at both Cornelia Connelly School in Anaheim, California and the School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York. She had many years as assistant principal and teacher on the elementary and secondary levels.
In addition, she has served as Board Member for Christian Brothers Religious Trust.
Patricia entered the Society in 1955. She holds a B. A. from Mundelein College and an M. A. from Fairfield University. She has post graduate credits from the Gregorian University and Regina Mundi in Rome.
