Membership
  • There shall be no more than 12 members, excluding Trustees of NCCF.
  • All members are approved by NCCF’s Board of Trustees.
  • The length of term is two years and is renewable with no limitation.
  • The composition will include bishops, leaders of religious orders, theologians, and interested others.
Purpose
  • Advise the Board of Trustees of NCCF about matters of Church teaching, policy, and practices.
  • Review the Foundation’s annual report in light of Church realities.
  • Confirm with the NCCF Board of Trustees that the activities of the Foundation are consistent with the Roman Catholic Church.

  • The composition will consist mainly of experienced grant makers and selected persons from relevant professional fields.
Purpose
  • Advise the Board of Trustees of NCCF on grants to be made from available discretionary funds. Note: Donor Advised funds and designated funds are to be processed through the Executive Director and presented to the Board of Trustees for action.
  • Stay abreast of Church needs: social, educational and religious concerns, within the USA and throughout the world.
  • Review all applications submitted to NCCF for funding and advise the Board on grants to be made.
  • Perform research and make recommendations on areas of interest from potential donors.
  • Report to the Board on the evaluation of NCCF’s grant-making strategies.
  • Make recommendations to the Board on future areas of concentration for the Board.

  • Ensure fulfillment of audit requirements.

Membership

Purpose
  • Educate and advise the Grants Council, staff and Board of Trustees concerning fields of interest for grant making.
  • Facilitate research into grant making opportunities as requested by donors, staff or Board of Trustees.
  • Assist the Grants Council and Board of Trustees in monitoring and evaluating grant activities to ensure their accountability.
  • Develop grassroots awareness of NCCF in local communities.
  • Represent the community’s interest to the Grants Council, staff and Board of Trustees.
  • Create, and relate to, networks of communicators within the local community.
